Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturdays

Oh look at me I'm sticking to my new years resolution & joined in another challenge!!
This one is over at Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturdays. Their challenge is to use a photo.

It is Hubby's birthday today & today we are starting a healthy diet together.
We have also decided that 2010 is going to be Our Year. We've had a rough few years. I was diagnosed with ME, then we were told we can not conceive naturally & we need ICSI (expensive IVF!) then we had to sell our house after I could no longer work.
Its been crap but we have stayed strong & this year we have decided it is all going to change.

SO.......I have done a 12x12 page (which I am going to stick on the notice board) with all the major things we have decided on for this year.
I looked up & printed the pictures from google as inspiration & motivation.

  • First we have January - starting our healthey Diet.
  • Then we plan on saving a bit of money to have Hubby's belated birthday & Valentines in April - Stay in a log cabin for 4 nights.
  • After that it will be sort the finances out & save some more
  • we would also like to go on our very belated (4 years this year) fancy honeymoon.
  • Whilst doing all this I hope to maybe get pregnant naturally (preferably before my 30th birthday!!) also we can be put on the IVF list from 1st April.
  • Lastly by December - we want to be out of the caravan. We have decided maybe a bungalow as the lack of stairs is bette for me & the dog!!!

How I price my toys ....

.....I thought I would share with you today how I price my knitted Monsters.
I spent a long time researching how to price them and looking at how much other people charge for their toys (which are often not CE tested which they should be!)
Pricing ingredients: Cost of the products: wool, stuffing Use of equipment & other: Knitting needles, scissors, electricity for lights  My time: Designing the toy, knitting the toy, testing the toy CE Test: Making sure my toy is to CE standards
Now you have to decided how much you want to pay yourself an hour and any extra profit
How much do you get paid an hour? Shall we say minimum wage £7.50 per hour
The largest toy I make is Pookiechu (the pink one) she takes me 16 hours to make 16 x 7.50 = 120
so that makes Pookiechu £120 before I've even added on the cost of any wool etc!
I therefore decided to pay myself a lot less and she became £65 However even though I know you are paying for a quality toy made with quality products and to the CE stand…
