WOYWDW

What's on your work desk????
I've not WOYWDW'd in a while because I have been busy practicing Thriller dance for my Mum & Dad's Ruby Anniversary party. (Some photos on previous post) I've also been getting ready for my new shop to open this Saturday 3rd & my new challenge blog starts Saturday too! Not doing things by half am I?!!
I'm also doing a craft day on Saturday at my sister's house when I'll be drawing the raffle (you still have time to buy tickets!! proceeds go to Action for ME) Busy busy bee!
Anyways lets get back What on - well if you wonder where the madness of WOYWDW started & would like to join in then pop over to Julia's blog to see!
On my desk there is my Ellephantastic mug!! How cool is that?! My favourite sweets to munch on whilst crafting! The choker necklace I bought from my friend Angie it doesn't normally live on my desk, I'd put it in a gift box I made for a photo & just remembered to take it out. You may spy with your little eye one of my new digis that isn't realeased until Saturday, so you are getting first look see!! He's called Roger & her may just be my next Freebie?! - you best check out my challenge blog on Saturday to find out!!
Also on my desk you may spy Tilda. I used her to make my new favourite little gifts - coatsers! This one is going to be a thank you gift. Ok enough rambling. What's on your workdesk?

How I price my toys ....

.....I thought I would share with you today how I price my knitted Monsters.
I spent a long time researching how to price them and looking at how much other people charge for their toys (which are often not CE tested which they should be!)
Pricing ingredients: Cost of the products: wool, stuffing Use of equipment & other: Knitting needles, scissors, electricity for lights  My time: Designing the toy, knitting the toy, testing the toy CE Test: Making sure my toy is to CE standards
Now you have to decided how much you want to pay yourself an hour and any extra profit
How much do you get paid an hour? Shall we say minimum wage £7.50 per hour
The largest toy I make is Pookiechu (the pink one) she takes me 16 hours to make 16 x 7.50 = 120
so that makes Pookiechu £120 before I've even added on the cost of any wool etc!
I therefore decided to pay myself a lot less and she became £65 However even though I know you are paying for a quality toy made with quality products and to the CE stand…

Buttons Picture Gift

This week Murphy's friend's little sister turned one and I decided I would have a go at a buttons picture as a present for her. I'm really pleased with how it turned out. Very pretty for a very pretty little girly. She's my little smiley buddy when I do the school run. No matter how I feel she makes me smile.
If you would like to order a picture gift please contact me for more details
